A 30 minute workout is just 2% of your day. This statistic puts things into perspective that each of us can find 30 minutes in our day and have 98% of the day to do what we need and want to.
In order to be successful one must set a goal, make a plan, and be consistent everyday. I was inspired by my wife today with her consistency in her running. Even while visiting me down in Texas for a few days each day she got out and did her workouts and ate healthy. As an athlete if you find your routine and stick with it success is bound to happen.
Something I like to do is set a top five priority list of the top five things I have to get done that day. I know if I do those five things the day is going to be successful. Sometimes I do more than those five, but each day I make sure to do just those five.
People always ask me what’s the best advice I could give to young athletes and my advice is to set your goal, make your plan and be consistent. Consistency separates the great from the good. You don’t have to be great everyday you just have to be consistently good to do great things. Just be consistent in whatever you do and you’ll find success.
